ABOUT MUD KITCHEN
MUD Kitchen is our not-for-profit sustainable cafe and caterers. We’ve evolved a lot since the first time we cooked a meal for our volunteers at Platt Fields Market Garden. Now we feed hundreds of visitors and customers a week at our volunteer days, café and events, with delicious, seasonal, sustainable food, either grown at our gardens or sourced from local organic farms. All profits go directly back into MUD’s charitable work, using gardening to improve the food system and support people in our community.
CATERING
MUD Kitchen can cater for events, workshops, conferences, meetings and parties using our eco-delivery partners, free collection from our garden or part of our Venue Hire package at Platt Fields Market Garden.

We run a cafe at Platt Fields Market Garden from Friday to Sunday. At the weekends we fire up the BBQ for our brunch menu and on Fridays we offer a smaller menu alongside our speciality coffee, seasonal bakes and light bites.

Our indoor and outdoor Kitchen Spaces at Platt Fields Market Garden are available for hire on Mondays and Tuesdays. £70 half day, £120 full day.

our micro-bakery
The MUD Kitchen Microbakery supplies handcrafted organic bakes for our catering services and cafe.
All baked goods use regeneratively farmed Wildfarmed flour, locally churned Estate Dairy cultured butter, The Lakes organic eggs, and wherever possible, produce grown on site at the garden. As part of the emerging Manchester Food Sovereignity Network we aim to support as many local producers as possible.
